Corumba III was flooded in 1996 and covers 6,500 hectares of open canopy forest. Triton carried out a reservoir wide tree harvesting feasibility study on behalf of the reservoir owner. Field crews deployed GPS mapping and high resolution sonar equipment to map the submerged forest and measure timber attributes such as tree height, diameter and volume/hectare.
