Triton is building a fully integrated wood products business in French Guiana. From timber harvesting to sawmilling and biomass fuel production, Triton will employ up to 70 people and invest over €60 million into the operation.
3 SHARC™ Harvesters will be deployed on Petit Saut to harvest 150,000m3 of logs annually. To minimize transport of raw logs, log handling and storage yards along with sawmilling and biomass production will be done in a lakeside manufacturing complex. Triton’s sawmill complex will produce a range of finished lumber products. All harvested logs will be utilized, with sawmill waste and all non-commercial trees converted to biomass fuel.
